NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Board of Directors of the Central Contra Costa Sanitary District (Central San), Martinez, California, invites and will receive sealed bids for furnishing all labor, equipment, materials, and services specified for the construction of District Project 8461, South Orinda Sewer Renovations Phase 8, in conformance with the Contract. The work generally consists of renovation of approximately 5,100 LF of existing sewer pipe lines by open-cut and pipe-bursting methods. The estimated cost of construction is $4,250,000. Central San, at its discretion, may add additional sites to the project after Award of the Construction Contract.

Due to COVID-19, a prebid presentation about the Project will be posted online to PlanetBids at 10 a.m., local time, January 20, 2021, and all questions can be received via email or by phone to the Project Manager. Site visits on private property shall require an appointment.

The District will receive bids until 2 p.m., local time per Time.gov, February 2, 2021, at 5019 Imhoff Place, Martinez, California. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, bids can be hand delivered and dropped off between 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. outside of the District’s Board Meeting Room. Social distancing and face coverings is required, and a drop box will be available. Accepted bids will be opened and declared aloud by the Secretary of the District, and before the General Manager, or his representatives at 3:00 p.m. via a livestream link on the District’s webpage at www.centralsan.org. The bid opening video and results including subcontractors list will be posted under the website’s Construction page. NO LATE BIDS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Project Documents, the prospective bidder’s list, addenda, prevailing wage rates, and geotechnical reports (if any) are available for viewing without charge through the District website at http://www.centralsan.org (Construction Zone), through PlanetBids at http://www.planetbids.com/portal/portal.cfm?CompanyID=14663#, or by calling Lela Joya at (925) 229-7100. The bid results will be available on the District website after the bid opening.
