Notice of Public Hearing on October 7, 2021
To receive comments on the proposed abandonment of a public sewer located on Lost Valley Drive in Orinda
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT:
The Board of Directors of the Central Contra Costa Sanitary District at its regular meeting at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 7, 2021, at the District Offices, 5019 Imhoff Place, Martinez, California, will hold a public hearing in accordance with Chapter 9.40 of the District Code to receive comments on the proposed abandonment of a public sewer located on Lost Valley Drive in Orinda, as part of the South Orinda Sewer Renovations, Phase 8, District Project 8461 (Project).
A public sewer was originally installed in the early 1950’s within an easement dedicated to Central San during the subdivision development of the Lost Valley Drive area, which currently has seven easements and services six properties between 11 and 25 Lost Valley Drive. Due to topography and maintenance access challenges, abandonment of the public sewer is recommended; easements will be quitclaimed by the Board once the Project is considered complete. New private side sewers will be installed to a newly renovated sewer main in the street.
